Franziska Fleischanderl, 2025 Early Music Day ambassador
We are delighted to announce that the 13th edition of Early Music Day will be held under the patronage of Franziska Fleischanderl, salterio player and researcher.
A pioneer in the revival of the baroque salterio, Franziska Fleischanderl has redefined the instrument's place in historical performance: her innovative work, which combines musicology, artistic research and historical interpretation, has earned her international acclaim. She is the first modern musician to master all the historical techniques of the salterio, breathing new life into this remarkable instrument. She holds a doctorate, founded the Salzburg Salterio Academy and was awarded the Opus Klassik 2024 prize for concert recording of the year.
