Collegium Vocale Gent kicks off Polyphony connects
21 August 2020
Polyphony Connects is the festival and virtual platform of AMUZ that brings together music from different centuries in the form of both archival recordings and live events, with substantial underpinnings in the form of documentaries, introductions, a book presentation, an international summer school, an educational music holiday for young children and an introductory course. The festival will start on Friday the 21st of August live - but without an audience - from AMUZ with a performance of Collegium Vocale Gent. The ensemble led by Philippe Herreweghe opts for a compelling start with Carlo Gesualdo's Fifth Book of Madrigals, a musical testimony like no other.
