COLLEGIUM MUSICUM CLASSENSE - Italy

The Association Collegium Musicum Classense was founded in Ravenna in 1988 by musicians and musicologists with the aim of promoting little-known repertoires and instruments and is currently coordinated by Maria Luisa Baldassari, Marina Scaioli (founders) and Susanna Piolanti. After organizing seminars, instrument exhibitions and high-level concerts in the field of early music, the Collegium Musicum Classense has designed with the province of Ravenna "I Luoghi dello Spirito e del Tempo" (The Places of the Spirit and of Time), now in its 27th edition and part of REMA since 2016. The Festival has become an appointment awaited and loved by an increasingly numerous public: the decision to follow uncommon paths in the choice of the repertoire and the places has aroused considerable interest from the public that since he beginning has become “itinerant”, and follows the various appointments moving from one place to another between Romanesque churches, fortresses or courtyards of palaces. Concerts are usually accompanied by a historical-architectural introduction to the place . 

The aim of the festival is to make known hidden jewels of the territory by bringing there high-level art and music, selecting the most interesting, innovative and quality proposals offered by the Italian and foreign music scene.
