BUCHAREST EARLY MUSIC FESTIVAL - Romania
ANTIQVA Cultural Association is an NGO institution active in the cultural field in Romania. ANTIQVA has the legal status of a non-profit association belonging to the Romanian state.
ANTIQVA was founded in 2013 taking over and continuing the experience in organizing cultural events of the Medieval Praxis team. The Cultural Association ANTIQVA is co-producer of the Bucharest Early Music Festival and the Early Music Season, concert events that tried to respond to a need for continuity in the affirmation of musical culture in the local space. These events were attended by exceptional ensembles and musicians such as Hopkinson Smith, Marcel Ponseele, Jan de Winne, Philippe Pierlot, François Fernandez, Ketil Haugsand, Petra Müllejans, Mary Collins, Steven Player, Il Gardellino, Ricercar Consort, Capella Cracoviensis, Le Poeme Harmonique, Xavier Diaz Latorre, etc., and some scores were performed for the first time for the Romanian public.
