zamus: early music festival | I'm scared of dying. What do I do? | CONTINUUM

In Johann Sebastian Bach's "Musical Offering", Elina Albach and her ensemble Continuum seek answers to fundamental social questions: How do we enter into dialogue? How do we reduce distance? Bach's complex sequence of very different movement forms, an artistic reflection of his encounter with Frederick II of Prussia, accompanies us on a journey through imaginary landscapes. With new instrumentation, supplemented by electronic soundscapes and combined with video projections, the baroque work is brought into the present, and constantly brought in new perspectives, both sonically and visually.
