zamus: early music festival | Adio Querida | Me La Amargates Tú

The ensemble Me La Amargates Tú takes us on a journey into the atmospheric world of Sephardic music. Their lullabies harbour the echo of generations and bear witness to the former coexistence of different cultures. The ensemble presents Sephardic and Spanish versions, which differ melodically but have almost identical lyrics. There is much to suggest that they influenced each other in the Middle Ages. Thus, these romances still bear witness to a fascinating cultural exchange today.
