XXII Stockholm Early Music Festival 2023

In the summer light of Stockholm's Old Town the XXII edition of SEMF focuses on Spanish delicacies. After an exuberant baroque zarzuela with the spirited Los Elementos, the ensembles Cantoría and La Galanía offer Iberian salads and traditional dishes. Belgian B'Rock pursues Monteverdi to Flanders, and The Curious Bards promise delightful Celtic baroque music. Brilliant mezzo-soprano Ann Hallenberg shines from her Handel star, and M. Praetorius' famous "Terpsichore", is staged with an innovative choreography. Sweden´s 500th birthday is celebrated with grandiose sounds from the Vasa court by Canto Fiorito, Vilnius.
