Seraphim mixes sounds from the early Middle Ages all the way to the present day. Hildegard von Bingen’s ode to the Creator echoes in Gubaidulina’s Engel on poetry by Else Lasker-Schüler, lush Romantic opulence by Louise Farrenc and Lili Boulanger glows side by side with baroque splendor from the Italian convents.
