MUSICA RESERVATA
From 29 June to 29 June Italy / Pavia
This program takes the form of an initiatory journey in Italy, following the emergence end evolution of an unknown and breathtaking vocal repertoire: the chromatic music of late Renaissance. Offering some of its most emblematic pieces, with a huge diversity of styles and affects, La Camerata Chromatica highlights major aspects of this Greek-inspired repertoire: intense passions, exquisite poetry, and extreme musical experimentations. Thanks to a wide variety of timbres (voices, recorders, viola da gamba, organ), the ensemble expresses, with a perpetually changing sound texture, the emotions of the poem to the fullest, and plunges the audience into an unknown universe, both dazzling and mysterious, virtuoso and sensual, passionate and experimental.
