The pages of the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles - Christmas concert
Nicolas Bucher: organist
Fabien Armengaud: musical director
A benchmark for French Baroque music, the choir of Pages and Chantres of the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles (CMBV) draws its inspiration from the vocal staff of the Chapelle royale at the end of the reign of Louis XIV by combining the voices of the Pages, children in special classes, with those of the Chantres, students in higher professional training.
Under the direction of its musical director, deputy director or partner conductors, they dedicate an essential part of their performances and recordings to the French repertoire of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
