    Five speakers will delve into a musical masterpiece from the Hispanic Renaissance, namely the Officium defunctorum by Tomás Luis de Victoria (1548-1611), published in 1605. They will present the Tomás Luis de Victoria. Officium defunctorum. In obitu et obsequiis Sacrae Imperatricis CD.

    The speakers will address the historical context and musical value of the work, the figure of Tomás Luis de Victoria in the light of the latest findings, the importance of the Hispanic Renaissance in the European context, as well as the research carried out and the process of restoring this masterpiece for the whole of society.

    Festival Duni - 21st edition

    The Festival will be opened on September 25 in the Dom of Matera by the first modern performance of the Neapolitan Oratorio Sant’Eustachio (patron saint of Matera) by Donato Ricchezza (Naples 1689) with Cappella Neapolitana conducted by Antonio Florio.
