    D’istanza Creativa is the title of the XXIII musical season of the Pietà de' Turchini Foundation,
    presided over and directed by Federica Castaldo who starts her programme on Saturday 17th October with Talenti Vulcanici. The ensemble directed by Stefano Demicheli, back from great success at the last Ravello Festival and the awarding of the prestigious Premio Abbiati 2020, will present in premiere in Naples "Antonio Manna, il basso napolitano": a new production that treasures the musicological research of Paologiovanni Maione and who entrusts the role of protagonist to the voice of the young and talented bass Nicola Ciancio.

    The Aspern Papers is the famous novel written in 1888 by the American author Henry James. The novel is set in a late XIX cent Venice and it is the frame within which the concert will take place. The concert will be a journey throught chamber music repertoire by composers who visited la Serenissima and got inspired by its unique atmosphere. A journey from the popular canzoni da battello songs to the important pages of history of music, where the lights and shadows of Venice are a map into a dream.     The Festival will be opened on September 25 in the Dom of Matera by the first modern performance of the Neapolitan Oratorio Sant’Eustachio (patron saint of Matera) by Donato Ricchezza (Naples 1689) with Cappella Neapolitana conducted by Antonio Florio.
