Violinist Aleksandra Brzóskowska and Leviathan Ensemble selected for a creation residency in Valenciennes

On the initiative of baroque ensemble Harmonia Sacra and Embar(o)quement immédiat Festival, a call for projects was launched for an artist residency in Valenciennes.

Leviathan ensemble led by bassoonist Lucile Tessier was selected for a project called « In the shadow of lights » – Leçons de Ténèbres for soprano and bass instruments consort. As for the violinist Aleksandra Brzóskowska, her research work will focus on musical activity by women composers in the convents of northern Italy, late 16th and early 17th centuries. www.harmoniasacra.com
