London Festival of Baroque Music Academy

11-13 May 2020

The London Festival of Baroque Music is delighted to announce the launch of the LFBM Academy 2020. The Academy is open to high-level music students from across Europe specialising in historical performance.

The LFBM Academy Ensemble will be directed by Maggie Faultless, Co-Leader, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

Repertoire:
Bach - Orchestral Suite No.1 in C major, BWV 1066
Handel - Concerto Grosso in G major, Op.6 No.1
Telemann - Ouverture-Suite in C major, TWV 55:C3 'Hamburger Ebb und Fluth’

Applications are invited for 8 violins, 3 violas , 2 celli, 1 bass, 2 oboes, 1 bassoon, 1 harpsichord continuo.

The LFBM Academy will take place from Monday 11th to Wednesday 13th May 2020, culminating in a performance at St John’s Smith Square, London. We will provide catering during the sessions and a travel contribution of up to £100 per player selected.
