International Early Music Competition in Loire Valley
31 May to 1 June 2019
This International Early Music Competition in Loire Valley is open to all instrumental ensembles performing repertoire from the 17th and 18th centuries on period instruments (Baroque chamber ensembles).
The event is biennial. After a 1st edition in 2015, the 2nd edition has taken place on 11 and 12 June 2017.

Organized by Stradivaria- Ensemble Baroque de Nantes, the aim of this competition is to promote ensembles of young musicians who specialize in this repertoire. The jury is presided by William Christie, harpsichordist, founder and director of Les Arts Florissants and composed of Daniel Cuiller, violonist, director of Stradivaria – Ensemble baroque de Nantes, Philippe Muller, cellist, Hidemi Suzuki, cellist for the Bach Collegium Japan, Ageet Zweistra, cellist and co-founder of the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées, Alice Orange, artistic advisor of the Festival de Sablé, Henri-Franck Beaupérin, organist and Nicolas Bucher, general manager of Centre de Musique baroque de Versailles.
