    11 July to 6 August 2019 [CZ - Prague]

    The Summer Festivities of Early Music celebrate its 20th anniversary! Between 11 July and 6 August the Prague festival will offer eight exclusive programme vin which it will celebrate two decades of its existence. The festival opens with a project appropriately entitled Jubilate Deo. On 11 July,  the joint ensembles Instrumenta Musica from Dresden and Cappella Mariana from Prague will present a programme of celebratory music of Venetian and Saxon churches from the 16th and 17th century. The concert takes place at the Sts Simon and Jude Church. This year's programming reveals several forms of musical festivities from various historical periods. Dance, an integral part of many celebrations, will play an important role in several of the festival events. A spectacular conclusion to the anniversary festival edition will be  A Night for the King, a performance with music and dance which takes place on 6 August at the Prague Rudolfinum. Tickets for all festival events will be available as of 11 April 2019.

    The festival’s theme is Innovation, inspired by the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci – one of the greatest innovators ever. This year there’s the chance to enjoy nine days of wonderful music taking place in a wide range of historical venues in the beautiful city of York celebrating the composers, performers, instrument- makers and thinkers who over the centuries have dared to be different.

    Concert des élèves-13 juillet à 20h - Eglise Saint-Brendan de Lanvellec

    L’Académie accueille plus d'une trentaine de stagiaires qui viennent se perfectionner auprès de grands artistes et pédagogues. La musique baroque résonne dans le village pendant tout une semaine. Le concert des professeurs inaugure cette formation unique en son genre. Lors du concert de clôture, les stagiaires de la promotion 2019 présenteront les pièces travaillées aux côtés de leurs professeurs lors de cette semaine.

    Six concerts by The Parley of Instruments (28 and 31 July), The Courtiers of Grace (4 and 7 August) and students of Cambridge Early Music’s 2019 Baroque and Renaissance Summer Schools (3 and 10 August), exploring French composers working at court and in the city of Paris; from Le Jeune, Sermisy and Sandrin to Charpentier, Lully and François Couperin.

    7 to 14 July - Miercurea Ciuc Early Music Festival

    The Miercurea Ciuc Early Music Festival, which has become an integral part of the summer events in Transylvania, takes place between 7–14 July 2019. The current edition of the festival is a part of the series of events celebrating the 390th anniversary of Joannes Kájoni’s birth, and honours the legacy of the Franciscan monk, composer, organist, botanist, architect, printer and book publisher. This year's program will feature a number of international collaborative music projects, with young performers and returning Transylvanian and Hungarian ensembles. The events – concerts, street music, performances, children's programmes – take place in many locations of the town.

    The York Early Music Festival finishes with a flourish with the final of the York Early Music International Young Artists Competition, live streaming on Saturday 13 July from 10.00 to 17.30 when the winners will be announced.

    The final line up is: Consort laurentien (Canada); Due Oratori (Netherlands); Duellists (UK); Duo Arnal-d’Anfray (France); El Gran Teatro del Mundo (Switzerland); El Parnasillo (Spain); ensemble feuervogel (Germany); ensemble .q.p.i.t (Switzerland); L’Apothéose (Spain); The Butter Quartet (Netherlands).
